This morning started as a "oops", and ended up on a "Whoa !"
The "oops" : I realised my fanfic "Stay in Touch" had already been nominated last year. I wonder if it's all right to put it on for the awards this year again. I'll have to check.
The "whoa" : last year winning fic for the Jack/Daniel friendship category was Siege by Seanchaidh.
Seanchaidh has created a very believable environment for his/her characters. Their relationship feels natural, too. It's rich. A mix of brothers, friends, father and son.
It happens to be the way I see them too, but even if I hadn't seen them like that before, I would have believed that story.
Her writing style is... you know, non intrusive. It goes so smoothly you barely notice the words, probably because she's picked the right ones up. It doesn't distract you from the story. I wish I could write like that.
And I *so* want to read an original story from him/her.
