Second story in my Jack/Daniel slash drabbles serie. From Jack's POV. I hope I can create a coherent serie, keeping the same POV and focusing on the evolution of Jack and Daniel's relationship. Rating: PG (for now).

#2. Of Sparks and Fire.

Almost a brother. Almost my son. Surely my best friend. He is all that, and he could be more.

Firewood cracks and lights his glasses with sparks. He is chatting with Carter in this language made of big words, small chuckles and bright grins only they can understand.

Every now and then he looks at me. An evil glint flares up in his eyes; its intensity outmatches the flames of the campfire. He smiles this sly smile of his, and turns back to his twin.

Yes, he could be more. If only I allowed it. If only he wanted to.

The same on my website

LOL - Hate to disappoint you, but I'm not *that* torch. The Torch refers to the actress pictured, Colleen Moore. F. Scott Fitzgerald said, "I lit the fire of the 20s, but Colleen Moore was the torch." Okay, I'm paraphrasing some. BUT! If you liked the Torch's stories, I hope you gave him/her feedback. Feedback is the stuff of life!

Ooops, lol! I googled Colleen Moore. I now remember her face, but that's about it. I seriously need to brush up on my cinematographic culture: I'm missing so much on older movies. That's my first wake-up call for today.

The second one is that I meant to send Torch some feedback, and haven't done it yet. I want to read more of her stories first, to see which one(s) I like most. I fixed my deadline to tomorrow evening, then I'll drop her a mail.

Google Colleen Moore and doll house together. Her magnificent doll house is in a museum in Chicago (don't remember which one). Her second husband was a stock broker and he taught her exactly what to do with her money - so she was one of the few silent screen stars that died with lots and lots of money.

She's a hero of mine.
